Over drying reaction to neutrogena acne products?

i just bought neutrogena's stress control power-foam cleanser along with the 3-in-1 hydrating acne gel that it comes with. it seemed to be working fine for a couple days until my skin started getting all itchy and dry. i usually only get acne on my t-zone but i put it all over my face just to prevent acne. its like theres a small rash around my cheeks and chin but you cant see it. its just really rough. could this be an allergic reaction or overdrying of the skin? and what should i do about it?Over drying reaction to neutrogena acne products?
Try to use the product less, like only once a day, and don't use both at once. Then you can try to work your way up to more applications. This may just be an initial reaction. In the meantime, moisturize with a sensitive skin moisturizer, like cetaphil to sooth skin. If you are still getting the irritation, the product may be too strong for you and you should just stop using it. Don't put the gel on areas with the rash, as some areas of face are naturally drier than others and more sensitive, especially cheeks and around nose and mouth.Over drying reaction to neutrogena acne products?
STOP using the Neutrogena products. Go to the grocery store and buy a bottle of 'olive oil' ... you don't need the 'extra virgin' so get the 'less expensive' kind of any brand. This will be your 'new' facial treatment.

To use it, first wash with no soap, just plain HOT water and a good (roughish) washrag. Then smooth the olive oil all over your face and leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes ... then wash again in plain hot water and washrag. After that you will need to 'rinse' three times, with lukewarm, cool, and finally COLD water. Your skin will look 'moisturized' and 'dewy fresh' after the first few times (three at most, which is ONE DAY), and you won't get any more acne as long as you do the 'washing' (with or without the olive oil) with no soap and three rinses ... I've been doing this since I was 15 (I use a 'facial scrub' once every six months to a year) ... I'm now 56, but my skin looks 'better' than most women in their 40s.
